Pucker up and pancake

Christmas 2015 feels like years ago. January was wet, windy and miserable with many UK undergraduates revising and taking exams. In January we were all skint selling unwanted gifts on Facebook to get us through until payday and everyone was trying to lose a Kilo (or so) after overindulging and Yuletide merriment. Sigh…. January was a pretty miserable month by all accounts. However, the shiny happy people of Condor Properties want to fill you with positivity and give you some ideas for a fantabulous February.

February is known to most for being the month of love and pancakes. It’s the month we can start getting #excited about the summer because its officially the last month of winter. It’s the month most undergraduates can breathe a sigh of relief (as exam period is over) and it’s the month for eating cake and cleansing (according to ancient legend and Wikipedia).

As the last month of winter, we can start looking forward to actually being able to see at 5pm as the lighter evenings start to appear. The extra sun light hours naturally give us a boost providing our bodies with energizing vitamin D. We can start packing away our frumpy jumpers, bulky boots and parker coats and plan a shopping trip for some new threads to wear for summer 2016. If you need some inspiration, London Fashion Week takes place from the 19th Feb. It’s a great time of year to start planning trips: http://www.statravel.co.uk/,booking tickets to concerts and festivals http://www.thefestivalcalendar.co.uk/or just arranging to meet up with your loved ones.

Talking of loved ones… Thanks to a bow and arrow bearing cherub called Valentine (jokes), February celebrates all things romantic on the 14th.  For girls looking for swanky but cheap gifts for their partners, check out this website http://www.popsugar.com/smart-living/Cheap-Valentine-Day-Presents-Him-21517257 - photo-21517257. For guys wanting to surprise the love of their life with something a little different, we liked this site http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/valentines-day/gifts-for-him.

However, if you are still looking for love, why not make it the year to find that special someone.  For a bit of fun, take the Love & Relationship Quiz on the Undateables home page  http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-undateables.You could always sit in on your own and eat cake ;) or pancakes!

Having a birthday in February, I always get excited about pancake day. I love making “pancake cakes” filled with layers of yummy but naughty treats.  For some great ideas for filings and a cheap and simple pancake recipe, visit http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/3374/perfect-pancake. Just don’t flip your pancake too high, as it will get stuck to the ceiling ;)

Have a fantabulous February and see you next month.

With Love, from Condor Properties
