We are committed to playing our part in creating a greener future. With 22% of UK carbon emissions coming from households, we continue to make improvements to the energy efficiency of our properties. We have pledged to ensure all our properties go above and beyond the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards and attain a C EPC rating as a minimum.
Following a comprehensive technical review of our properties, a Retrofit Energy Efficiency Action Plan has been implemented & is well underway, including the following upgrades;
Renewable Energy – Solar PV
Solar electricity is a low carbon, renewable energy. Each of our solar installs saves circa. 1 tonne of carbon per year.
Heating Upgrades
Improving the efficiency of how we heat our properties with easily controlled heating systems cutting carbon emissions.
Insulation
A quarter of heat is lost through the roof in an uninsulated home. We have completed works to ensure all our loft voids are insulated with a minimum of 300mm of loft insulation.
Our Action plan is under constant development & we are always looking to embrace new systems and innovation, to ensure our properties are as sustainable and green as possible.
